Welcome to our Portfolio section. Gala Lights decorates hundreds of Cities, Towns, shopping centres and buildings throughout the UK, and we have put a selection of these online for you to view.
Our online Portfolio will allow you to see a little of how our displays can enhance the surrounding environment, as well as creating a visually pleasing atmosphere.

Cardiff Castle
Cardiff Youth Clubs Heritage Project, gave the opportunity for Cardiff’s young people to explore their identity by researching their roots, twenty two youth clubs from across the city were involved and their findings formed the basis for various expressive presentations, posters featuring selected artwork were displayed at Eisteddfod, viewable to approx: 160000 people, these posters were then translated by our team into giant rope light motives, which then formed a major display on the outer walls of Cardiff Castle, the result was totally unique and perfectly depicted the heritage of Cardiff as seen through the eyes of its young people.

Leicester
Leicester City Council have been on board with us for the last three years now, and each year have undertaken bigger and better schemes, this year we were asked to come up with a contemporary styled, self supported avenue of lights, our team got to work and came up with a design that Leicester City Council immediately loved, the finished product looked perfect and we were told that it far outweighed any expectation they had, giving us yet another satisfied customer.

Lincoln
Lincoln City Council opted for a complete LED festive display, we suggested using a wide and varied range of across street motives while keeping one type unique to each street or area, the result was outstanding, shoppers and visitors to the city were treated to a completely individual lighting experience at the turn of every corner, making their time in the city one to remember.

Loughborough
Loughborough once again provided their residents and visitors with an outstanding festive display, incorporating some of the largest across street motives supplied and installed by ourselves this season, measuring 2.5 metres high and spanning a massive 20 metres across, the finished project was a truly fantastic sight to behold. Opting for LED in all available colours gave this scheme a very traditional feel while technically and environmentally being right up to date.

Maidstone
Our Home Town! We have been at the heart of Maidstone's Festive Illuminations for many years now, always keeping them up to date with the latest products and trends, this year we opted for the currently very popular Blue & While LED theme, proving once again to be a great success.

The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff
This major project involved engineering decorations to fit vertically on 22m high masts, next to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Each of the 11 decorations included a design from one of 22 schools across Wales. The effect of the illuminations against the back drop of the Millenium Stadiums reflection on the the river, was stunning.

Oxford
A mixture of new and old was used in Oxford in order to provise the city centre with a contemporary, yet classical illuminative display. Using white rope light, blue simulated pine matting and white pea lights we produced a scheme the whole city was proud of.

Salisbury
Salisbury District Council once again had a city to be proud of, incorporating monuments as well as buildings into the festive scheme was a complete success, LED lighting was once again the order of the day, with LED wall washers and up lighters making a popular return, the new Solid State Ultra Bright LED tree lighting in Market Place was nothing short of breathtaking.

Staines
White golf ball bulbs and green simulated pine motifs have never gone out of fashion, ever since they were introduced to the UK by our director 17 years ago! Staines Town Council saw the benefit in using these types of motifs, as not only do they give you a spectacular display, but also look fantastic during the day. Gala Lights probably has access to the largest range of these German made decorations in the UK, and we can create schemes to suit any village, town or city.

St. Georges Shopping Centre
We not only develop schemes for town centres, we also decorate many shopping centres across the UK.The St. Georges Centre in the heart of Gravesend wanted a scheme that would give the centre a modern, fresh look and encourage Gravesend shoppers into the centre, rather than to the many out of town outlets. The scheme produced was a complete success and footfall increased dramatically from previous years.

Swindon
Swindon TCM and Westfield Shopping Centre joined forces to illuminate Swindon town centre during the festive period and they chose Gala Lights to design the scheme. The brief was to develope a brand new contemporary, bespoke scheme, which would be unique to the area - a brief that our design team love! Using fresh designs we created a scheme that was clearly visible in the highly illuminated streets, and that also provided a great Christmas atmosphere.

Trees
Using trees as part of a decoration scheme can produce fantastic results and we can recomend just the right amount of lights needed for any size of tree. We have access to a wide range of different tree lights, from normal 15 watt mains voltage to LED low voltage festoons. Gala Lights have used LED to decorate trees since 1999 and our displays can be seen in public gardens throughout the UK.
